Working in the print and binding industry is something Kathy LaViola has been doing for over 30 years.
Starting as a Quality Control person, servicing Lancôme & Estee Lauder, she quickly honed her eye for color. Early in her career Kathy worked at Pioneer Moss, where she assisted in the daily workings with clients such as Calvin Klein, Ogilvy & Mather & Mc Cann Erickson. It is due in part to these clients, that she gained her skills in communication, attention to detail & a passion for the industry. Later in her career, Kathy worked at Pantone, the world’s leading color Communication Company. During the 13 years Kathy worked at Pantone, she oversaw the pre-press department, press room and estimating department. While working with designers and creative teams, she cultivated her knowledge in print production, color control, layouts, point of purchase displays and specialized marketing tools. Kathy was a certified ISO auditor at Pantone, she worked closely with all departments to create and review standard operating procedures that are still followed today. After working at Pantone, Kathy had the opportunity to oversee a trade bindery. It is here that she experienced first-hand the capabilities of machines. Learning the intricacies of folding machines, die cutters, saddle wire stitchers and the like, Kathy gained a better understanding of the importance of planning ahead. Kathy helped her clients physically create their design ideas with the knowledge that the design created was within the parameters of machine capabilities. It is not enough to have a great design idea, it is the implementation of the idea that creates a good product.
By focusing and listening to a client’s needs, using effective communication skills, paying attention to details and understanding the projects manufacturing processes, Kathy will enable your project to run flawlessly. She will insure your project will be cost effective and will maintain the design integrity and end use you have intended. It is her goal – NOT to MEET, but to EXCEED your expectations… With Kathy’s expertise, you can be confident that your projects are in good hands.
